    City College journalists win again

The San Diego Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists released their winners list for this year's annual regional awards, and student in the City College journalism program are well-represented, as has been tradition the past few years.

City appears to be the only named college in their collective categories, which is a great sign:

City Times Editorial Board (for editorials, so this would in part go to Vanessa Gomez), City Times Staff, Tom Andrew, Roda Marie Catapang, Olivia Holt, Ernesto Lopez, Michele Suthers and Donovan Terblanche

The one surpise for me personally is for me. This is the first time in all my years submitting professional entries to SPJ San Diego that I didn't win something. Disappointing, but perhaps refreshing. The students, though, did an incredible job!
