First meeting of the minds

Team Mercury Cinema members Sandy Orion, Jacob Roark and I met yesterday to begin the very, very preliminary process of planning for the 48 Hour Film Project. The goal is to set an audition date within the next couple of weeks, along with a meeting of the behind-the-camera team.

I'm really excited about the interest level this year, and I think it's in part based on the success of "Stare Therapy" last year. One of last year's team members, Cisco Miramontes, got accepted into San Diego State's film school for this fall with "Stare Therapy" on his resume. That's pretty cool. And I'm glad he plans to be back on the team this year.

The second meeting of the minds is tomorrow with Carla Van Wagoner and Daniel Lew. That should complete the first of the big stuff to get out of the way.
